While Harvey Nichols’ The Fifth Floor has been providing gourmet reprieve for shoppers for decades, as well as libations at its bar, Benjamin’s is all about the whisky. Benjamin’s Bar is the newest addition to London’s vibrant whisky and cocktail scene.
It will boast over 100 whiskies by the dram or bottle, including the very rare Glengoyne 50 Year Old and Tamdhu 50 Year Old as well as an exceptional cocktail list prepared by bartender Rik Patel - previously of Mayfair’s Magpie the critically acclaimed, Adam Handling and Cornerstone in Hackney.
Rik has used innovative modern mixology techniques, creating a fresh take on classic cocktails - while providing a contrast to the headier whiskey selection on offer - with the use of delicate house-made botanical cordials and floral notes.
You’ll be able to find Benjamin’s – which is named after Harvey Nichols founder Benjamin Harvey – hidden away in the high-end menswear department. It’ll be open from 10am (blimey) until 8pm every day of the week, aside from Sundays, when it’ll close at 6pm.
