Prada celebrated human talents in a digital world. The walls and ceilings were covered in hand-painted Roy Lichtenstein cartoons. Giant monkeys, ladies’ eyes with big lashes and the guests were watching the show on an illustrated surface weaving between the spectator boxes. For the SS 2018 Prada Man Show, the architectural installation aimed to create frames for seemingly simple yet evocative picture stories. Following the logic of comic strips and graphic novels, fragments of incomplete narratives cover all the visible surfaces, the black-edged architectural features provided the infrastructure for the storytelling.
